We always have a great time visiting Hahei

July 24th, 2010

One of our favourite places to go in the central park region is Hahei, which is in the Coromandel. Not only is the scenery amazing, but the beaches have this really cool pinky sand that is absolutely stunning. Cooks Beach is on our favourite beaches to go to. From the main road you just take on of the walking tracks from Cooks Lookout. You can also get to Lonely Bay going that way. If you get a chance to visit Hahei, you definitely need to go to Cathedral Cove. You can only get there by foot or by boat, and the track begins at the northern end of Hahei. We always make sure to bring a shovel when we go to Hahei, in case we have time to visit Hot Water Beach. It’s so cool getting to dig your own hot water pool. There definitely aren’t many places in the world where you can do that!
