Xbox 360 3 Red Lights Shouldn’t Spoil Your Gaming

If your Xbox 360 has experienced what is now commonly known as the xbox 360 3 red lights problem, you’ll probably be interested in learning more about what you can do to get the xbox 360 back up and running quickly and with minimal expense. The xbox 360 3 red lights, or “red ring of death” is a fix you can do at home with tools that you probably already have or can easily get from your local hardware store. But before you dive in with the tools, there’s a few basic housekeeping tasks you should perform first to see if you really have the 3 red lights problem or not.The first thing you should do is make certain that the inside of your xbox GPU (general processing unit) is clean. If you look at the vent holes, you’ll probably see various amounts of dust build-up on them. Just take a vacuum and get the dust out to assure that you’re getting all the cooling benefits that the vents can provide. Next, try blowing compressed air into the GPU to loosen up any dust that has settled inside. This will help in getting it moving towards the cooling vents. You should probably do this step outside, or at least in an area that is easy to clean as there could be a lot of dust that gets blown out.After you’ve done these two steps, check where you’ve been putting the GPU during your game play. Is it sitting flat on the carpet? This can reduce cooling. Is it in a closed entertainment center? This also will limit the amount of cooling the pre-cut vent holes are able to provide.
