Web Hosting Goes Green

Over the past few years, green web hosting has surged in popularity with a lot of new UK Web Hosting providers starting out as environmentally conscious hosts and existing hosts choosing to go green.  Many web hosting companies go green via the use of bio-fuel for heat, recycled materials for office supplies, recycling office waste, buying renewable energy credits, commuting to work via public transportation, and donating money to offset the company’s carbon footprint.  Also, green web hosting providers use data centers that power their servers with wind, solar, or geothermal energy.  Green web hosting’s popularity continues to grow with its success due in large part to the increasing amount of environmentally conscious organizations, companies, and people.
