The Hoover Dam’s Power Supply

December 14th, 2008

One of the little known facts about the Hoover Dam is that it is one of California’s biggest suppliers of power.  It uses huge turbines that are powered by water to generate this power, and it is a huge way to conserve fuel.  One of the best gas saving products can be harnessed through water, as the energy that is generated by running water can be intense.  There are many organizations that are trying to pull people towards accepting this alternative energy, and it will be interesting to see if the tides begin to turn more and more as gas increases in price.  It is a rewarding alternative, for sure.
