Retail Security

One Christmas season I decided to work part-time at a local department store. We were trained each night for a week and this included cash handling, store policy, and store security.
The odd thing to me was that we spent three days learning how to use the registers and deal with customers and two entire days on store security. The store detective explained that this is because they lose a lot of money from shoplifting.
We learned that the store used Cctv Monitoring Software as well as security officers dressed like customers. And they caught a lot of people.
The job was fun, I made some money, and I have never gone shopping since then without looking around to see if I can spot the security.
