A Few Rules of Good Turtle Care for a Healthy Pet

October 8th, 2009

A turtle can make a great pet. If you want to keep a healthy happy turtle, you should remember a few rules of good turtle care. Make sure that the tank in which you keep your turtle has nothing in it small enough for your turtle to eat. Use real plants instead of fake ones, as your turtle may not know the difference. If he eats it, it could be harmful. Be sure to use a heat lamp that contains UV rays. It will be the same as sunlight. The tank next to a window, generally will block the UV rays and the turtle will get no vitamins from it.
