What is Seminary and what is it’s purpose

March 31st, 2009

In general, a theological seminary is an establishment of advanced instructing composed of learned teachers, leaders and students devoted to the truth.  Primary to all academic work must be a dedication first to Jesus Christ as Superior Lord and secondly to the pursuit of truth as a organized and personalized vocation.A Seminary should encourage key scholarly query in an learned atmosphere consecrated to excellence in learning, a biblical worldview, religious understanding, and cultural conscience.  It needs to produce a ministerial equilibrium between the intellectual, earthly, and divine commitment to Christ, His Word and His service. RTS.edu is a great choice for a seminary degree.
