Parents Day

For Parents Day this year I wanted the kids’ parents to feel really special. So, I went out and purchased certificate paper, glitter, stickers, and markers so the kids could make awards for their parents. Each award was different, of course, because each 1st grader got to choose what to give their parent or parents an award for. Don’t worry; I checked them all to make sure that the parents weren’t getting awards for best spousal abuse on the West coast or best ability to completely ignore them during the work week. Actually, the kids did well choosing things for their parents, and the parents seemed to love it!
