Contest for Kids at our Family Feast
September 10th, 2009
Every year in the late fall, our family prepares for a big feast. The feast is never at the same family member’s home two years in a row, it has to rotate. There is always some kind of activity planned for the children, whether it be a craft project or a cooking project. It is up to the member that is holding the feast to decide what the project is. This year, I am the lucky one who gets to do all the cooking. I decided that I wanted all the kids to write Thanksgiving poems. They all had to be unique and in their own words. The kid that writes the best one is going to receive an iPod for their efforts. We have lots of kids in our family, so this should be a fun contest for all.
