Beauty and Elegance
July 10th, 2009
In my fantasy world I often travel back to the time of Louis XVI in France and the elegant masquerade balls. I see the ladies in their lovely gowns of all different colors, with their hair piled high on their head, with curls cascading down one side, and all holding their beautiful masquerade ball masks. I can just see the man bow to his lady as he takes her hand and they begin to dance the minuet waltz. It is too bad that the United States was interrupted by the Revolutionary War and so was pretty much left out of that sort of culture until later in our history.
