Is a Web Site Enough?

I see so many corporate web sites that are really just place holders. Every time I see one i can’t help but think of the wasted opportunity they are. Instead of communicating with their customers, or making Internet shopping easy, they just sit there. I always want to drop the webmaster a quick email – if there is a webmaster – asking if they’ve ever heard of corporate web development. And if so, why aren’t they doing it? If I can find a link to contact them, that is. Some of these placeholder web sites don’t even have that. It’s not enough just to have the web page, do something with it!
