The Popularity of Fiberglass Attic Insulation

February 17th, 2009

Fiberglass, a material that is not without its controvercies, is still the most used material in attic insulation. Its popularity has remained constant.

There are two important types of fiberglass attic insulation: blown in and batts. Deciding on one or the other is a matter of personal preference.

However, there are some clear distinctions between the two of them: the batts are best suited for ceilings and walls.

The blown in insulation is very popular for the floor of the attic. However, this is not a thing that you should do yourself, you should let the professionals handle it, as this is the most difficult to install type of attic insulation.
