Making Woodworking Projects with my grandfather

April 8th, 2008

One of the last memories I have of my grandfather was working on woodworking projects with him. He was in a wheelchair and had limited use of his arms. So he did most of the talking and instructing and I did most of the cutting and building. We mad things like birdhouses a rocking chair, a marble roll game and breakfast in bed tray. I would race home from school to pick our project form the previous day. It used to make quite a mess of his room in our house, but I was always willing to clean up the mess. Working on those projects with him was such fun and makes for some great memories.
