Make Father’s Day Gifts Fun

September 29th, 2008

Some celebrations seem sill to me but not Father’s Day. If one is fortunate to have a dad that means the world to you, you know what I mean. My dad is a very quiet man but thoughtful and strong. I have always known what he stands for and so do others.

There are a lot of fathers day gift ideas available online and in local retail stores. These range from wine holders that are made from recycled metal to gadgets for the outdoor man. Some gifts are “themed” for those who work in the medical or educational fields.

My dad doesn’t want a lot of “stuff”. He’d prefer that I let the day go by like any other. He doesn’t like a fuss being made. I understand this, it’s part of his very nature, so I have to be care filled about what I do get him.

I have decided to buy an animal in his name. This animal will go to someone who needs a “hand up”
out of poverty. The animal’s offspring will be passed on to others in need. This fits my father beautifully !
