Keeping Gardens Sufficiently Watered During The Summer

May 12th, 2009

There are some beautiful botanical gardens near where I live, and I have taken several tours of their grounds in order to get some ideas for my own garden. With summer approaching, I wanted to be able to keep my plants and flowers well hydrated without wasting city water, so I asked one of the volunteers about using echo rain barrels to water my garden. She said that they had several of them at the botanical garden, and she showed me how they work. I liked the simplicity that they offered, and that I would be making the most of any rainfall that we would get by putting it back into my garden.
