Home Insurance Quotes — This Is More Expensive But Quite Unnecessary

December 16th, 2009

Ensure you don’t fail to deduct the land’s cost from your home’s value while applying for a home insurance policy (Especially if you’d like to get cheap home insurance quotes). People who ignorantly do this pay for more insurance than would do them any good. You’ve made the same mistake if you insured your house for the price you purchased it without checking the cost of the land it is built on and deducting it.

If you did this quickly meet with your agent and check through your home insurance policy. Reduce your coverage to the cost of your home and its contents minus the land’s value. Your premium will be cheaper and you’ll still have sufficient coverage if you do this right. Bear it in mind that insuring the land your house is standing on is real waste of money because it does you no good whatsoever.
