Getting a balance bike will probably be the best thing you’ll ever do and you probably have to end up kicking yourself for not doing it sooner.  It isn’t an asset because the moment you buy it will have very little to no value.  But it can be a huge asset in a different way because the enjoyment it will give to your child and peace and quiet it will allow to you while you are inside your own house and your kid is outside riding it are immeasurable.As a parent you probably have very little quiet time to yourself so peace of mind can be a huge benefit.  And if you are worried about the price of buying one of these things new at retail then you’re not alone.  This economy has lots of people questioning how they spend their dollars and I am sure you can find a used balance bike on Craigslist, eBay, or even Amazon.
