Does this last a long time?

I am thinking that it might be nice to put in floating cork flooring in the basement. The floor there can be really cold, and this could really be a good option for helping with this problem. However, I am worried that it might wear out quickly. Cork doesn’t seem to be a very strong material, and I would hate to have to install a new floor every few years. Where can I find out more about floating cork flooring? I really like some of the properties of this flooring, like sound reduction and keeping the floor warm, but I want to find out more about the cons.
