Charcoal starter – 3 choices to choose from?

We have had the same choices of charcoal starter to choose from since the 50′s, so why is this even a question?  My sentiments exactly!  When the third choice came on the scene I would have thought that the other two would have disappeared in a heart beat, but they didn’t.  Lighter fluid gets poured on to the charcoal and you run the risk of the vapors igniting in your face or your clothing.  An electric loop can be set down on a table or a burnable surface by mistake.  But the latest starter approach is a crystal powder product that you spoon on to the charcoal and it rapidly ignites in a safe manner.  To me it’s a no brainer?
