Why Starving Yourself Won’t Help You To Lose Stomach Fat
April 10th, 2008
One of the most common misconceptions when it comes to losing weight and trying to lose stomach fat is that starvation diets will help. This couldn’t be further from the truth. You see, a starvation diet is basically when you eat less and less food – essentially starving yourself to lose weight. The reason this doesn’t work is because when you eat less food, your metabolism slows down – in an effort to preserve your body fat. This is simply evolution at work. Your body doesn’t know when the next time you will eat, so it slows your metabolism to save burning through your natural supplies too quickly.
