The Importance Of The Bench Press To Weight Lifters

August 6th, 2008

The bench press is an exercise that must be included in all free workout routines.  It’s an exercise that strengthens and builds the pectoral muscle more effectively than any other chest exercise.  There are two different ways to utilize the bench press:  with dumbbells or with a bar.  The dumbbell bench press is generally used by the more beginner weight lifters because light weight can be used.  However, sometimes the dumbbell bench press is need for those weight lifters who have shoulder problems because dumbbells put less pressure on the shoulders. The bar is for the more advanced weight lifters who can lift a significant amount of weight.
