The Circuitry of Hearing Aid and Its Batteries…

August 4th, 2008

A major part of the circuitry in these types of hearing aids is the Digital Sound Processing, or DSP for short. They utilize the computer chip to analyze and process the sound data before it is amplified to the ear. It does this by using billions of digital number codes to identify and classify sounds to give them the correct settings. At this crucial stage, the data is converted to sound before being sent on through the ear. Digital models are also advanced in their ability to detect feedback and prevent it from becoming a nuisance, something their wearer doesn’t have to be actively involved in most of the time. Despite this technology, having the right size hearing aids battery is also important so as to keep the unit small and portable.
