Stopping Constipation Through Proper Diagnosis

April 2nd, 2008

The best way to treat and prevent constipation, it is very important to determine whether or not the constipation is temporary or chronic. Knowing what could cause constipation is also vital. Most common causes are traveling, recent change in diet, dehydration, reaction to new medication, or missing or withholding a bowel movement. But chronic constipation on the other hand is due to the blockage that is more severe and need immediate medical attention. If chronic constipation is left untreated it would lead to a more dangerous condition like septicemia and even it could lead to death. Two main causes of constipation are poor diet, lack of water and less fiber.
