Some Weight Gaining & Weight Loss Tips for Beginners

If your goal is to gain weight, or lose weight for that matter, you first need to determine what body weight should be your "goal weight".  Use a body weight calculator to determine this.  Once you have determined what your goal weight is through using the body weight calculator, you have to develope a workout program.  If you are trying to gain weight, you should weight train with heavy weight and eat lots of calories.  If your goals is to lose weight and decrease fat levels, then you should primarily focus on cardiovascular exercise, and instead of increasing the calories in your diet, you should decrease them.
