Many women get stretch marks from pregnancy.
February 18th, 2008
Many women get stretch marks from pregnancy. Their belly stretches to make room for the baby that is growing inside of them. The skin stretches and loses its elasticity. Marks are left behind. They are usually red at first. Over time, they turn white or silver in color. They also become shiny. Many women rub cocoa butter on their abdomen when they are pregnant. This increases the skin’s elasticity and is supposed to prevent stretch marks from occuring. For those who do not use cocoa butter, there are many products that claim to get rid of stretch marks, but people report different results from using them.
