How do the make contact lenses

November 23rd, 2008

I have a fairly good idea of the concept of making lenses for glasses.  Someone takes a piece of glass and grinds in just the right curve so that when I look through them the magnification is right for my eyes.   I can almost understand how they make graduated lenses by changing the curve or the lens as it goes down the glasses.  What I do not understand is how the people at Durasoft Contact Lenses can make a soft contact lens that will hold it’s shape enough to always have the same magnification as it floats around the eye for days.
