High Blood Pressure Control: Astounding Information

July 26th, 2009

The heart pumps the blood through our blood vessels causing them to impinge on the walls of the vessels giving rise to what is called blood pressure. The pressure exerted by the blood on the artery walls are measured by a sphygmomanometer A pressure of above 140 as systolic reading and above 90 as diastolic reading indicates high blood pressure. If you have been seeing high mercury readings on the sphygmomanometer for the past few weeks, then it is time you went for a heart and kidney check up!!

Exercises keep your blood flowing at a normal and safe pace inside your body, and this ensures good health by maintaining blood pressure. If you are on medication for high blood pressure, you may need to avoid alcohol and cigarettes, because they cancel out the effectiveness of the medicine. Next up, high blood pressure control.
