Dental Implants 101

October 22nd, 2008

When I was about ten years old, the dentist pulled three of my teeth because they were abscessed.  Recently, I learned that the zahnarzt ungarn could do dental implants on me.  Not only that, but I can combine it with my vacation.

Anyhow, if my bone structure is such that they can proceed right away, they will begin with the first of two surgeries.  The first would put the implants in place.  This is followed by a healing phase of anywhere from three to six months.  I would wear a temporary bridge while the bones heal.

After the soft tissue is healed, they would uncover the implants.  Occlusal screws connect the teeth to the implants.  Although most implants result in an excellent fit for most people, you must commit to getting the adjustments necessary for the bite to be well-adjusted in order to distribute bite pressure evenly.
