Bedwetting… You Can Survive It!
November 7th, 2009
Bedwetting in young children who are otherwise potty trained is commonly a physical problem. The child’s body grow’s faster than his or her bladder. The bladder overfills while the child is sleeping, usually waking the child when he or she feels urine touching his or her skin.
We are lucky to live in an age where there are so many helpful, humane solutions to help your child through this tough time… oh, and to help you keep your sanity. I am a firm believer in the night time pull on diaper type things (of course, my son would freak if I used the term “diaper” – so we call them sleepy time pants). Second, to make sure your mattresses survive, invest in a waterproof mattress liner. It will save you some serious scrubbing!
