Acid Reflux Diet

February 2nd, 2008

Acid reflux is a medical condition, with heartburn as a possible symptom of that condition. Acid reflux is now recognized as a cause of sinus infections. Today, in our drug-oriented society, the treatment of acid reflux is mostly based on the suppression of acid. Gastric acid reflux is thought to be the primary mediator in GERD; therefore, patients with GERD are treated primarily with acid suppression agents. The natural cure for acid reflux is all about common sense. This is more pronounced when the body is horizontal (as in sleeping), but the sheer volume of soft drinks consumed in the USA means the acid reflux diet is well past the danger point.
