A Sunday School Teacher Passes Out From Intoxication

Isabel was a devoted postal worker who taught Sunday school at the local Methodist Church. Even though she lived in a small rural community where it seemed that everybody knew everyone’s business, relatively little was known about Isabel. Of course, everyone knew that she had worked many years at the post office and that she taught Sunday school for as long as she was a resident of their small town. But other than that, it was as if Isabel was a non-entity. You can imagine the excitement that was created when it was discovered that Isabel had passed out on the way to Church one Sunday morning. The article in the local newspaper stated that the reason Isabel passed out was because she was intoxicated twice the legal limit. This is certainly one of the effects of alcohol that no Sunday school teacher wants to have broadcasted to the whole community. But this is exactly what happened, much to the chagrin of Isabel.
