How Stretch Marks Form

Stretch marks are formed when your skin is excessively stretched to a point that it would break. This happens when you let your body grow fast making the skin unable to cope with the growth. The skin starts to tear apart in the dermis layer which would appear as red or purple marks. When these wounds heal, it would appear as a skin of different tone from your normal skin. It is because the production of collagen in that wounded area has stopped. The usual periods where you can experience stretch marks are during puberty and pregnancy. But it can be assured that you can have such anytime you let yourself get too fat too quickly. The good thing is there are so many way how to get rid of stretch marks.
