February 1st, 2008
A lot of people are scared of the thought of repairing their own credit. Not sure why, but the fact is they some how think that by trying to repair bad credit they can actually make it worse. The fact is if you follow simple procedures and the law you won’t mess up your credit any worse then it is now.
When repairing your own credit there are a set of rules and guidelines to follow. What we can and cannot do is dictated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act which governs the credit bureaus and the information contained in our credit reports. Pending you do not dispute an item that isn’t in error, or anything that is providing a positive push to your credit score you’ll end up alright.
