Two Sales Representatives Learn About Marketing Videos

October 30th, 2008

Kathy and Michelle were sales reps for a large metal processing plant in the Midwest.  They kept up with the industry news and attended every sales convention the industry sponsored.  Year after year they noticed that one company in particular always seemed to have the most people hanging around their presentation booth at the sales conventions.  So Kathy and Michelle decided to do some research and find out what made this company “tick” from a marketing and promotion perspective.

The first thing they did was to go to the company’s website.  After reading everything this company had online, it became apparent how this company was getting the marketing and promotion message out to prospective clients:  they created a series of marketing videos that all sales staff were required to watch.  Armed with this information, Kathy and Michelle decided to develop a proposal that they would present to top management in their company.
