Time management skills: Effectiveness

Being effective and efficient with your time are two completely different things. Being effective with your time requires that you do the things that are most important to you. So, you need to learn to make the right choices when it comes to using your time and choosing the best time management skills to use. The best way to do this is to ask the right questions at the right times, and listen to the answers that come. The secret is to ask yourself ‘powerful questions’. Examples of these are: What isn’t getting done that needs doing? And added to that, What will it take to get this done? What is my intention with this? What do I most need at this time? When you ask ‘powerful questions’, take some time to listen to the answers that come to you and you will soon be one your way to better time management. There is much more to managing your time effectively but this should help you identify the things that are most important at any given time.
