Seminars on Competitive Analysis

October 15th, 2008

There was a point in time when I run our auto-shop, instead of my brother Peter. Peter scheduled a Paris vacation with his whole family. My father called in and asked if I could fill Peter’s shoe for a while. I agreed to it after being assured of doing it only for three weeks. My previous disinclination with managing the auto-shop stemmed from the fact that I don’t know much about this business. But having done simple competitive analysis of my own, I did found the guts to accept my dad’s challenge.Peter is more of a free spirit when it comes to business, while I am more of a methodical business folk.  Peter had paid dues by attending various seminars and conventions featuring competitive analysis of various other auto-shops. Peter is, thus, more experienced and his inputs about my father’s auto-shop are invaluable. I hope I can be able to perform something good enough for Peter’s absence.
