Researching CRM software vendors

As a senior sales executive, I have recently been given the responsibility to improve the organizations sales processes. This mandate also includes finding ways to facilitate greater communication between the sales and support department. The aim is to find a way to unite both departments to facilitate greater communication. I have approached several CRM software vendors to procure further details on software solutions that may help to improve business transparency. I friend who works for an organization that recently installed a CRM package suggested this to me. He claims that it has really helped the organization to better manage its internal processes and communicate more effectively with individual team members and customers.
