Requirements of a Texas LLC Filing
October 11th, 2008
Unfortunately, Texas is not one of those states who make it very easy to form a limited liability company (like Delaware).
Texas’ laws relating to the LLC are found in several places and they impose some strict rules on even just coming up with a name for your Texas LLC that will be accepted by the state.
Another common complaint about Texas is that it requires the disclosure of names and address for members of a member managed Texas LLC and managers of a manager managed LLC in Texas. This is not common with other states that protect the privacy of llc business owners.
Still, it is well worth submitting that Texas LLC filing to create a solid asset protection entity for your business. Despite the added steps in formation, the Texas LLC laws provide excellent benefits and advantages for business owners which is the reason why Texas has one of the largest number of Texas LLC formations in the country.
