The powdery mildew fungi is one of the oldest plant diseases on record. There are more than one different species of this kind of plant disease. However they are all characterized by the growth of a white or grey fungus.
Infection of this disease can grow on dry leaves and does not always need a moist environment. Conditions such as warm temperatures and shade. The pores of this fungus are sensitive to the sun and heat.
Some easy ways to effectively manage and control powdery mildew is by removing leaves that have fallen or died. Also try rotating where the plants are planted.
