Keeping track of sales receipts in restaruant business.
May 19th, 2008
It is not enough to just make the food and serve it in a restaurant business.
Keeping track of your sales receipts in restaurant business is a huge issue and one that has to be tracked carefully.
There are many tax deductions that can be taken throughout the year and you need to be aware of them and use them properly.
Not only are the ingredients used to make your menu deductible, but your equipment and the depreciation on them are too. Your office equipment and computer is a deduction as are any vehicles used for business purposes.
Keep all your receipts and if you do not have an accountant, get some software and enter your sales receipts and purchases at least weekly if not daily.
It will give you a whole new view of your business.
