The trade of Book Publishing has acquired many faces now. One of the lesser known facets of book publishing has been highlighted by the talented writer named Hellene Hanff. Her book named “84, Charring Crossroad” is a book about book publishing and selling. It is a collection of letters between the author and the employees of a second hand book store that specialized in “rare out of print books”! The book trade, the trials and tribulations of new authors, how the book trade operates all are described with a dry under tone of humor in this delightful book. The humaneness and sense of humor of the author are well brought out.
