I Use A Free Credit Report To Stay Safe

Almost any time I turn on the TV I see something on identity theft and how we all need to protect ourselves against it.  I agree that we need protection but am just not sure of the best way to have it.   I am careful with my credit card numbers and guard my Social Security Number like it was gold.  Then just to be sure I have done everything right I order my free credit report each year just to be sure.  If there is anything suspicious there I take the necessary steps to get it corrected immediately just to stay safe.
