How long should a blog post be

I’m just starting a blog. I want to do things right for my readers. I’m wondering how long should a blog post be? I don’t want to write really short ones that do not answer my blog readers questions. I also don’t want to write such long post as to put everyone to sleep. Just wondering if anyone has any answers out there. I see all types of blog post on the Internet. Short blog post and long blog post. I like them all, but I just need to know which is the most popular type of blog post, short or long? If anyone can tell me how long a blog post should be, I’d appreciate all your help.
