Federal Benefits of a Veteran

A veteran is someone who has worked in the armed forces for his/her full career or beyond 20 years. All military personnel are entitled with national benefits imposed by the government. The United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is the government department that manages the veteran benefit system.

The veterans benefits and privileges include the following: disability compensation, pension education, home loans, life insurance, medical and burial benefits, survivors’ benefits, home loans and vocational rehabilitation. However, not all states in America has the similarstandards in providing such benefits. Each state has specific requirements for veterans become entitled in the given benefits.
