Oil 2.0
June 27th, 2008
Seems like every innovation has to have a number .0 put behind it. For example, on the internet we have Web 2.0 which has come to describe a whole number of different innovations and really seems to mean something different to just about anybody you ask. Now in the world of oil, we have Oil 2.0, which I have to admit is pretty cool. Perhaps you’ve heard of bacteria that they can put on oil spills that will eat the oil. Well, now they can do that in reverse. They’ve got bacteria that they can feed wood, straw or other waste products and in return they get oil, and this stuff is pretty much ready to be put in the gas tank without any further refinement.
