You may describe modern art as pieces that have been made within the last century.  Popular modern artists such as Mackenzie Thorpe are putting their stamp on modern contemporary art.  As modern contemporary art has become more readily available it has also become more profitable with a number of modern contemporary artists turning into household names.  Commenting on our lives and our changing world has given modern contemporary art a more powerful role to take in our society.  The new generation’s interest in art, sculpture and prints is definatly down to these very reasons.  While many artists like Mackenzie Thorpe have always managed to make their fans happy they don’t always get the critical acclaim they deserve.  This has resulted in a big rise in the sales of Mackenzie Thorpe prints providing the artist with financial support and a life long career.
