As the movers went down the stairs I was wondering how long the move will take. I had spent most of the weekend packing everything and could not wait to be after the whole ordeal. There were a few more heavy stuff that needed to be taken down from the upstairs, the Parrot Cage the piano and the dining table. When the house was almost completely empty I heard one of the movers complain about how heavy the cage is. I do not know why he thought he could take it down the stairs by himself. I remember that three guy lifted it up the stairs when I bought it.

My young children are such a reminder to me of my own childhood. Each time they have a rite of passage it brings back all the memories and feelings I had when I was that age and went through the same things. Their first day of school gave me a total flashback to my own school days and it was very nostalgic for me. Their Connecticut Mastery Test brought back all the standardized testing memories I have of sitting there and thinking about the questions and then waiting to see my results and where I fell in the percentile rankings.

I can say that I am an advocate of a flat stomach diet. I never really valued the importance of observing a proper diet. All I know is that as long as my hunger is sated, then I am ok. I eat the foods that will only interest my taste buds. These are usually those that can be found in fast food restaurants. I love french fries and I can eat two order of these large fries in one sitting. In addition to that, I can match these fries with two orders of of a quarter pounder burger. So imagine the high cholesterol level in my body!

I have a friend who only buys American cars, and most of the cars he has ever owned have been a ford. He doesn’t trust Honda or Mitsubishi. I asked them once why he only buys American and he said it was because he trusts them more and they are more reliable. Lately, he’s been looking for a new truck, and he can’t decide between a nicer Ford Model, or a Chevy. I feel bad for him, because with gas prices the way they are, he is going to be losing a lot of money no matter which big truck he goes with. I bet he’ll probably go with the Ford.
